The Renzo Discord server has been compromised by malicious actors. Users are warned to avoid all messages and links from server admins as they are potentially dangerous.
Until further notice, users are advised to consider all communication within the server potentially harmful. The Renzo team is working diligently to secure the platform and appreciates the community’s patience.
The renowned blockchain investigator ZachXBT was the first to identify the breach. ZachXBT quickly alerted the community on their Telegram channel, warning about a phishing link circulating within the Renzo server. This link falsely claimed to offer retroactive rewards for users’ loyalty.
According to the message from the scammer, Renzo had announced the beginning of the Renzo claims today. This initiative aimed to reward holders of $REZ and positions containing $REZ and $ozETH with retroactive rewards for their loyalty. The announcement also extended an invitation to community members without holdings, welcoming everyone to sign up using their wallets to be part of the official distribution list. At the end posted a phishing link to scam every user that clicks the link.
The Renzo team is investigating the breach and working to restore the security of their Discord server. Community members are advised to stay vigilant and await further updates from official Renzo channels.
