The recent Dogs airdrop has brought a unique joy to the crypto community. More than 17 million people participated in the Dogs airdrop. This meme project is inspired by the dog sticker Spotty, created by Telegram founder Pavel Durov. The dog sticker, made for a charity auction to support orphans, quickly became a famous figure in the crypto space.
The craze to claim the DOGS airdrop was so intense that it blocked the TON network for 6 hours. The traffic surge to claim $550 million worth of airdrop disrupted the TON blockchain. Almost 17 million people have already claimed their DOGS airdrop. According to the project, the mini app has surpassed 53 million users, out of which 42 million are eligible for the airdrop. Having so many holders is a big deal for a meme project, but when compared to leading cryptocurrencies, it’s not as significant. Coingecko data shows that in terms of airdrop value, the Bonk meme coin ranks 7th among the 10 biggest crypto airdrops. Uniswap has done the largest airdrop with a value distribution of $6,433 Million. Now, the Telegram community is eagerly waiting for the next long-awaited TGE and airdrop of Hamster Kombat. Alongside Hamster, the crypto community is also eagerly awaiting the Catizen airdrop. According to the Hamster Kombat team, they reached 300 million players in July. However, last month, due to some reasons, their daily active players dropped from 91 million to 87 million.
