The post XRPL Rolls Out Decentralized ID for Secure Web3 Identity appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News
XRP Ledger (XRPL) has successfully implemented the Decentralized Identifier (DID) amendment on its mainnet, marking a major step in Web3 identity solutions. This update, backed by 30 of 35 validators, aims to enhance secure, self-sovereign identity on XRPL by allowing users to create DID documents linked to unique, on-chain identifiers. RippleX developer Mayukha Vadari explains that DIDs, akin to digital fingerprints, ensure data authenticity. This upgrade, in alignment with W3C standards, positions XRPL alongside other blockchains advancing decentralized identity, furthering its competitive edge within the broader layer-1 ecosystem.
