NVIDIA partners with global consulting giants to establish innovation centers in Japan, accelerating AI adoption across industries and addressing demographic challenges.

NVIDIA is joining forces with several global consulting giants to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across various industries in Japan. According to NVIDIA, this partnership aims to establish innovation centers that will help Japan embrace both enterprise AI and physical AI, crucial for the nation’s economic and technological growth.

Innovation Centers to Drive AI Integration

Leading consulting firms, including Accenture, Deloitte, EY Japan, FPT, Kyndryl, and Tata Consultancy Services Japan (TCS Japan), are collaborating with NVIDIA to create these centers. The initiative will leverage NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, local language models, and NVIDIA NIM microservices to advance AI development tailored to industry-specific needs.

Using the NVIDIA Omniverse platform, Japanese companies will be able to develop digital twins and simulate complex physical AI systems, fostering innovation in sectors like manufacturing and robotics. This move comes as Japan faces demographic challenges, with a shrinking workforce due to an aging population.

Government and Market Readiness

The Japanese government has expressed a strong commitment to AI, aiming to position the country as “the world’s most AI-friendly nation.” This commitment is reflected in the AI systems market, which has reached approximately $5.9 billion, growing at a rate of 31.2% year-on-year, according to IDC data.

Consulting Giants’ Initiatives

Accenture has launched the Accenture NVIDIA Business Group, providing solutions with a Japanese large language model (LLM) and preparing to implement agentic AI solutions across various industries. Deloitte’s AI Experience Center in Tokyo will showcase generative AI solutions built on NVIDIA technology, enhancing enterprise adoption of AI.

EY Japan is focusing on digital transformation solutions across finance, retail, and manufacturing, using NVIDIA AI Enterprise to meet the growing demand for digital twins and generative AI. Meanwhile, FPT is integrating NVIDIA NeMo with its AI Studio to develop multi-language LLMs and plans to train thousands of engineers globally by 2026.

Kyndryl has launched an AI private cloud in Japan, providing a secure environment for AI development and testing in collaboration with Dell Technologies. TCS Japan will offer AI solutions in the automotive and manufacturing sectors, leveraging NVIDIA’s AI stack.

Strategic Locations and Future Prospects

The consulting centers, situated in Tokyo and Kansai, will provide hands-on experience with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge technologies. These centers aim to expedite AI transformation, tackle social issues, and bolster Japan’s economic progress. The collaboration between NVIDIA and consulting firms is poised to significantly enhance Japan’s AI capabilities and address its demographic challenges.
