A new documentary on XRP is set to be released in the second half of 2024, aiming to go viral and share the truth about XRP and its ongoing legal battle with the SEC. The documentary will feature insights from various contributors and while the distribution platform is still unknown, the project is being independently produced by Chris and Maia Pothier.
In a conversation with Jake Claver, Maia opened up about the documentary and how it might expose some of the buried truths of industry. She said that the documentary also has some discussion about Ethereum’s founders, the “ETH Gate” corruption involving the SEC, Ethereum, and other entities. All of this is being packaged into an exciting feature film, currently clocking in at about 105 minutes.
When asked if the critical content about Ethereum might affect the bull run or altcoin performance, she acknowledged that while there’s a chance it could have an impact, it really depends on how viral the film goes. However, she made it clear they have no animosity towards Ethereum, even sharing that between 2019 and 2021, they mined a significant amount of it.
“It might have a little bit of an impact. Are we really significant in the grand scheme of things? Depending on how this film goes and how viral it goes, then, you know, it will increase the impact. But I mean, don’t get us wrong because we do like Ethereum. I mean, Chris actually from 2019 to 2021, we mined it, we had a bunch of Ethereum at some point. And so it could have an impact depending on how viral this goes,” she said.
For the unversed, the “Ethereum Gate” scandal refers to the allegations and discussions surrounding the perceived favoritism of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) towards Ethereum (ETH) compared to other cryptocurrencies, particularly Ripple (XRP).
