In a recent CNBC appearance, Anthony Scaramucci of Skybridge Capital predicted that 2025 will be a “great year” for Bitcoin. He also mentioned that Bitcoin was expected to reach its current level back in 2022.
Scaramucci pointed out that a spot Bitcoin ETF was expected to be approved in early 2022, but delays by SEC caused significant damage to Bitcoin’s price.
Scaramucci now sees the main question as whether institutional investors will join the market. “I think you see some of the endowments starting to do that. We know some of the sovereign wealth funds in the Middle East are quietly doing that,” Scaramucci noted.
$200,000 in 2025?
However, these predictions should be taken with caution, as some of Scaramucci’s previous price forecasts were off. For example, he once predicted Bitcoin could hit $175,000 after the halving. Reflecting on his Bitcoin journey over the past five years, he said, “You go from genius to dummy, depending on the price.”
