President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump had a heated face off at their first 2024 presidential debate today. From deep discussions on abortion policies to tackling inflation and addressing global conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, the debate took a sharp turn when both sides hurled nasty accusations.
However, what disappointed keen crypto enthusiasts was their anticipation for a mention of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency during the debate, only to find that those terms were completely absent. But to everyone’s surprise, the market has painted a green picture and Bitcoin and most altcoins have drifted into the green zones.
Bitcoin has surged more than one percent and is trying to reclaim the $62k levels. The price briefly surged beyond the $62k levels. Talking about altcoins, Solana emerged as the biggest winner with more than seven percent gains. Avalanche and Polkadot also registered similar gains. Kaspa has surged more than 24 percent in the last 24 hours. Ethereum has also shown some upward trajectory and is trading close to the $3500 levels.
While social media platform X is flooding with opinions about the debate, analysts are already predicting what’s next. Satoshi Flipper wrote, “A Trump victory would send the SP500 to 6000 and $BTC to $250k IMO and it’s going to happen. America will never forgive the Biden administration for the terror their border polices have caused American families. And the crypto population of 100M will never forgive Gary Gensler for shitting on us for 4 years. Biden doesn’t have a prayer vs Trump.”
However, MAGA (Trump) coin is down by more than 14 percent in the last 24 hours.
