Coinbase has announced the adoption of Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for its Project Diamond, a digital asset platform aimed at global institutions. Peregrine, a subsidiary of PSG Digital based in Abu Dhabi, will serve as the flagship user of the platform. Marcel Kasumovich, Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Coinbase Asset Management, emphasized Chainlink’s role in enabling compliant tokenized asset solutions, stating it sets a “gold standard” for blockchain interoperability. Chainlink’s recent collaborations, including projects with Swift and Brazil’s Central Bank, highlight its capacity to support institutional-grade platforms like Project Diamond. The platform aims to provide secure and compliant services for registered clients outside the U.S., signaling a growing focus on institutional crypto adoption.
