The post Court Dismisses Craig Wright’s Appeal: Not Satoshi Nakamoto, Says UK Court of Appeal appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News

After losing a case for suing Bitcoin (BTC) developers to pay $1 trillion, Craig Wright, an Australian businessman, has lost the bid in appealing the case. According to court documents dated November 29, the United Kingdom’s Court of Appeal rejected Wright’s application to appeal the case

According to the court documents, the presiding Judge had to answer a single crucial question to determine the final ruling of the case by Wright against the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA). The factual question was whether Wright was the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto, which the Judge concluded as false.

Furthermore, the Judge found out that Wright lied to the court in his evidence, including forging a large number of documents.

Wright’s Arguments on Satoshi Nakamoto’s Claims

According to Wright, the judge misinterpreted various items of evidence and incorrectly attributed documents. Additionally, Wright accuses the Judge of being biased on the case thus contaminating the ruling.

He further argues that the judge improperly relied on documents that were not properly authenticated.

However, the Judge concluded that Wright’s appeals have no prospect of success whatsoever, thus issuing a judgment that there is no other reason for further hearings.

Meanwhile, Wright has a chance to pursue the case in the UK Supreme Court, which experts believe will have no different outcome. On December 18, 2024, a two-day hearing will be held to determine whether the injunction has been violated and whether Wright has violated any court orders.
