Some of the biggest names in crypto are back in the spotlight as whales begin loading up. XRP, Solana, and Hyperliquid are making waves again, and there’s solid reason to believe this may be the start of something bigger. According to Altcoin Buzz analyst Maddie, from the YouTube channel Altcoin Buzz, whale activity is often a strong signal ahead of a breakout. 

In this roundup, we dive into three altcoins—XRP, Solana, and Hyperliquid, which are seeing major whale activity, and explore why these tokens are catching big players’ attention.

XRP and Solana: Steady Movers in the Top 10

XRP and Solana are both ranked in the top 10 cryptos by market cap. XRP currently holds around $92 billion, while Solana leads with $137 billion. Since the start of 2025, XRP has gained about 12%, but Solana is still down over 7%. However, looking at the last 90 days, Solana has made a strong comeback with a 25% rise, while XRP has only gained around 1.5%.

Recent whale moves suggest growing interest in both tokens. Over $500 million worth of XRP has been moved across exchanges. This comes as Ripple works on a potential $11 billion deal to acquire Circle, the USDC issuer. If successful, it could make Ripple a major player in the stablecoin game.

Meanwhile, Solana is gaining traction after its recent “Accelerate” event. Nearly $485 million worth of SOL was moved by whales, showing confidence in the chain’s growing DeFi and Real-World Asset (RWA) use cases.

Hyperliquid (HYPE): New Highs and Strong Momentum

Hyperliquid is another altcoin that’s turning heads. The token just hit a new all-time high of $39.80 after a 12% weekend rally. It’s now in price discovery mode, but with RSI at 86, some traders are being cautious of a possible pullback.

Still, whales are stacking. Five large wallets scooped up nearly $28 million worth of HYPE recently, suggesting that many are betting on a $50–$100 range in the near future. Interestingly, HYPE whales are finally taking profits after 5 months. They started selling off 395k tokens at $36.69, making $14.51M so far. That’s a $28.4M profit on initial investment. 

Trust Wallet: More Than Just a Wallet

Interestingly, whales are also using Trust Wallet as a smart yield tool. It’s new “Stablecoin Earn” feature offers up to 7% APY on coins like USDT, USDC, and DAI across multiple blockchains. With over $20 million in TVL already, it’s becoming a key tool for whales looking to earn passive income while waiting for the next big move.

From large-cap names like XRP and Solana to rising stars like Hyperliquid, whales are quietly positioning themselves. For investors watching closely, this might just be a hint at which altcoins are gearing up for a breakout.
