The game’s token, HMSTR, has lost 76% of its value, dropping from a high of $0.009993 on September 26 to just $0.002392 now.
Earlier this year, Telegram’s CEO hailed Hamster Kombat as “the fastest-growing digital service in the world.” However, many players in Nigeria feel let down after delays in token airdrops and unfair disqualifications from the game’s new anti-cheat system. Reports indicate that 2.3 million users were banned, and 6.8 billion HMSTR tokens were confiscated, adding to player dissatisfaction.
