The post Kylian Mbappé’s Twitter Hack: $MBAPPE Crypto Token Surges and Crashes in Minutes! appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News
Soccer sensation and Frenchman, Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid striker, also lost control of his Twitter/X account after a horrendous attack this morning. The hacker behind the breach also created a fake cryptocurrency token named $MBAPPE which spiked and ended up being worthless.
Hack unleashes chaos
The hacker made use of Mbappé’s social media platform to post some tweets as follows; “Manchester is red”, followed by another tweet that reads “The greatest football player of all time, names Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi is NOT my goat”.
There were also tweets made on the Israel-Palestine issue and the hacker seemed to be pro-Palestine as the tweet read free Palestine. Despite the controversy that erupted due to the tweets, the tweets were deleted after some time as people became aware of the fact that Mbappé had been hacked.
$MBAPPE Token: ‘Boom and Bust’ in minutes
In no time, it took the social media streets to embrace the $MBAPPE token which was created by a hacker, and see the value grow to tens of millions of dollars. Unluckily, it did not take too long for a bubble to burst and the token value to return to its original value of zero.
Nevertheless, it only took few minutes for the coin to crash and burn but one particular user was able to cash in salt away to the tune of $200,000 starting with a mere $286 worth of SOL tokens.
However, the hacked tweets were deleted immediately, but this event will long be remembered both for Mbappé’s Twitter account and the entire world of cryptocurrencies.
