The International soccer legend Lionel Messi is promoting a Solana-based memecoin called WaterCoin (WATER) through his Instagram Stories. As per WaterCoin’s documentation, the project is focused on raising awareness for water-related issues, to become a full-fledged ecological coin in the future. WaterCoin’s roadmap outlines four stages from the initial presale of the token, through centralized exchange listings and celebrity partnerships, to the final phase of becoming a ‘charity-focused environmental currency’. While there are very few details of how the project will achieve these goals, the token’s price action has displayed the pattern of ‘pump and dump’ mechanics.
