nWay, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has announced the upcoming launch of Olympics Go! Paris 2024, a hybrid casual sports and simulation game. The game will be available globally in June 2024 for Android, iOS, and PC platforms, according to Animoca Brands.

Exciting Gameplay Features

Olympics Go! Paris 2024 merges city-building elements with Olympic sports events to create an engaging experience for fans of the world’s foremost multi-sports event. It will feature 12 Olympic sports, including swimming, the 100-meter dash, fencing, artistic gymnastics, and breaking—the latter marking its debut as an official Olympic event.

Players will have the opportunity to construct and manage their own virtual cities, unlocking mini-games based on these sports. Success in sporting events will earn in-game Fan points, used for leveling up venues and upgrading buildings in their cities. These benefits include resources to enhance athletes’ training, making them more competitive.

Pre-Registration and Soft Launch

The game will enter a soft launch in April, with pre-registration available via app stores and the official website. Pre-registered players will receive exclusive in-game digital items, including a digital collectible pin of the iconic Paris 2024 mascot.

Kristen Salvatore, co-CEO of nWay, stated, “Is there any more exciting and true representation of the thrill of competition than the Olympic Games? We at nWay are excited to announce our upcoming game in celebration of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. Olympics Go! Paris 2024 was developed with the IOC to capture the spirit of the Olympics and bring it to players everywhere.”

Development and Licensing

The game is developed by GlobalStep and Nvizzio Creations, both renowned in the gaming industry, and published by nWay under a license from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Elisabeth Allaman, Deputy Managing Director of the IOC’s licensing department, remarked, “Olympics Go! Paris 2024 encapsulates the Olympic spirit and global appeal of the Olympic Games Paris 2024. By integrating iconic Olympic sports and introducing innovative elements like breaking, the game reflects the Olympics’ commitment to promoting diversity and modernity while inspiring excellence and camaraderie among participants. We are pleased to bring this innovative gaming experience to fans worldwide.”

nWay, headquartered in San Francisco and backed by Animoca Brands, has a track record of delivering high-quality games such as Wreck League and Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. The company is known for its expertise in creating cross-platform games, contributing significantly to the gaming industry.
