The US Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission are actually supporting a class-action lawsuit against Nvidia. The company allegedly misled investors as it tried to explain spiking revenue in 2017-2018 by including crypto mining. Both agencies claim that the leadership at Nvidia, among them chief executive Jensen Huang, knew of the contribution to crypto mining but failed to represent it accurately. DOJ and SEC are seeking for the Supreme Court to reinstate the case after its dismissal. Oral arguments for the case have been set for November.
