Polymarket traders successfully predicted that former President Donald Trump would select Senator JD Vance of Ohio as his GOP running mate. The blockchain-based prediction platform saw a total of $94 million wagered on Vance’s selection.
Vance’s odds surged from an 8% chance at the start of 2024 to 36% just before the selection on Monday. The announcement comes days after the failed assassination attempt on Trump, which pumped the crypto market back to its feet. Thus, it added a dramatic twist to the 2024 presidential race and brought Bitcoin back to $64K levels.
