Feature Story: Tap-to-Earn Becomes Popular as Web3 Games Continue to Evolve
Over the past two weeks, I have observed a growing number of people wanting to get into Telegram games.
Hamster Kombat is very popular. Why? Apart from the more than the 100 million players it claims to have, I see its referral links being shared and posted even in non-crypto Facebook groups!
A friend who was in the industry, but left in 2020 called me over the weekend. He said crypto comes calling back to him — some contacts in Asia were eyeing for him to manage the marketing of a new Telegram bot.
Renz Chong, the founder of BreederDAO, answered a question from my friend and mentor Leah Callon-Butler posted on X about what she might have missed in the GM Vietnam crypto conference. Renz said a lot of studios are building on Telegram for bots, games, etc.
Web3 games are truly evolving. There’s now something for everyone. If you want to just tap, there are games for you. If you want trading card games, or racing, there are fully playable games available. YGG recently announced its Play Summit this November. I’m sure these games will all be there.
