Leading telecom companies are employing NVIDIA AI Enterprise to develop advanced network models, optimizing operations and efficiency as announced at NVIDIA’s GTC conference.

In a strategic move to revolutionize network operations, major telecommunications companies such as Amdocs, BubbleRAN, ServiceNow, SoftBank, and Tech Mahindra are harnessing NVIDIA AI Enterprise to build sophisticated telco models and AI agents. This initiative was revealed at NVIDIA’s GTC global AI conference, according to NVIDIA’s blog.

AI-Driven Network Solutions

The deployment of large telco models (LTMs) and AI agents is set to transform the telecom industry. These models, powered by NVIDIA’s NIM and NeMo microservices, are tailored to handle the vast and complex data generated by telecom networks. The LTMs are multimodal large language models specifically trained on telco network data, designed to automate decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and improve network performance.

SoftBank and Tech Mahindra have spearheaded the development of these LTMs and AI agents. Meanwhile, Amdocs, BubbleRAN, and ServiceNow are advancing their network operations through NVIDIA AI Enterprise. This comes at a time when 40% of participants in a recent NVIDIA survey indicated they are integrating AI into their network planning and operations.

Understanding Network Language

Much like how large language models understand human language, LTMs are now capable of deciphering the language of telecom networks. These models are specialized in network intelligence, capable of interpreting real-time events, predicting failures, and automating resolutions. They are optimized for efficiency, accuracy, and low latency, and are designed for continuous learning and adaptation using NVIDIA NeMo.

The implementation of these AI agents is expected to reduce network downtime, enhance customer experiences through faster networks and fewer outages, and bolster security by mitigating cyber risks in real-time.

Industry Leaders Embrace AI

SoftBank has launched an LTM based on a large-scale LLM, trained on its network data, to automatically reconfigure the network in response to traffic changes. Tech Mahindra’s Adaptive Network Insights Studio provides comprehensive network issue reports, while its Proactive Network Anomaly Resolution Hub addresses network events, boosting productivity.

Amdocs’ Network Assurance Agent automates tasks like fault prediction and conducts impact analysis, while its Network Deployment Agent facilitates open RAN adoption. BubbleRAN’s platform automates network reconfiguration and policy enforcement, leveraging advanced retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.

ServiceNow’s AI agents, built on NVIDIA DGX Cloud, predict network disruptions and generate resolution playbooks, improving provider response times and customer satisfaction.

The continued collaboration between telecom leaders and NVIDIA AI Enterprise is set to drive significant advancements in network efficiency and reliability.
