Telegram’s CEO Pavel Durov was arrested at a French airport by local authorities as a result of a criminal complaint on the platform’s moderation practices. A day after, Telegram in a statement has expressed that it fully complies with European Union law and its content moderation practices are within “industry norms” and constantly improving. It also added that Telegram’s CEO Pavel Durov has nothing to hide and travels frequently in Europe. Many in the community have expressed support for Durov, with Tron’s Justin Sun offering to donate $1 million to a DAO dedicated to working towards Durov’s release.
