Crypto exchange WazirX, which was hacked on July 18, said in a post on August 19 that an audit performed by Mandiant Solutions, a Google company, did not detect intrusion into the exchange’s or its laptops’ systems. The investigation concentrated on the multi-sig wallet breach where approximately 45% of WazirX’s resources were stolen. The report also resolved the matters regarding the security of laptops that are used to sign the transactions, there were no signs of tampering and were secure. WazirX assured its users that a hack has occurred but it doubts that the mistake might have come from its infrastructure partner Liminal and is actively working to reclaim the lost crypto.
