The eight tokens involved are AC Milan (ACM), AS Roma (ASR), Atlético de Madrid (ATM), FC Barcelona (BAR), Manchester City (CITY), Juventus (JUV), OG (OG), and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Deposits and withdrawals will pause on May 11 at 01:00 UTC.

Why the Contract Swap Matters

Whole integer tokens have a real limitation. You can’t hold fractional units. That’s a problem for any token that wants to behave like a normal crypto asset, where users can buy small amounts and trade at precise prices.

Moving to 18 decimal places fixes that. Users can hold fractional fan tokens. Pricing becomes more precise. Trading mechanics line up with what every other major crypto asset already supports. It’s a technical upgrade that opens up the user base by making the tokens behave the way crypto users expect.

What Happens on May 11

At 2026-05-11 01:00 UTC, Binance will suspend deposits and withdrawals for all eight tokens on Chiliz Chain (CAP20). Users need to leave enough time before the cutoff for any deposits to fully process. Once the contract swap is complete, Binance will announce when deposits and withdrawals resume.

Old tokens will get renamed. ACM becomes ACMOLD. ASR becomes ASROLD. ATM becomes ATMOLD. The same pattern applies across all eight: BAROLD, CITYOLD, JUVOLD, OGOLD, and PSGOLD.

The old tokens will swap to new tokens at a 1:1 ratio. No value is lost in the transition. Holders end up with the same number of tokens, just on the new contracts with 18 decimal places.

What Stays Working During the Swap

Spot, margin, and futures trading will continue normally. Binance Earn services aren’t affected. The disruption is limited to deposits and withdrawals during the swap window. Binance will handle all the technical requirements on the user side, so holders don’t have to manually swap anything themselves.

The New Contract Addresses

Each fan token has new smart contract addresses on Chiliz Chain. ACM lives at 0x06…89d1. ASR moves to 0x0A…6EB0. The pattern continues across all eight tokens. The old contracts will remain active under the OLD ticker designations after the swap.

For users tracking these assets onchain, the contract address change is the most important detail. Wallets and tracking tools will need to recognize the new contracts as the active versions of the fan tokens going forward.

What This Says About Fan Tokens

Chiliz is positioned as the Web3 infrastructure for sports and entertainment. The Fan Tokens umbrella covers the integration layer that connects clubs to digital fan engagement. Binance supporting the contract swap matters because the eight clubs involved represent some of the most globally followed sports franchises.

The 18 decimal upgrade isn’t a flashy move, but it’s the kind of foundational improvement that makes fan tokens more practical for everyday use. Smaller transactions become viable. Pricing precision improves. The user experience finally aligns with what crypto users already expect from any other asset they trade.

Conclusion

Binance will support the Chiliz Fan Tokens contract swap on May 11, moving eight major sports fan tokens to 18 decimal places. The 1:1 swap doesn’t change holdings. Trading services stay live during the transition. For Chiliz and the clubs involved, this is the technical upgrade that brings fan tokens in line with how every other crypto asset already works.
