Key Takeaways

  • U.S. bitcoin ETFs drew $160.04M on Monday, led by Blackrock’s IBIT with $134.35M.
  • Ether, XRP, and solana ETFs also gained, signaling a broad return of institutional crypto demand.
  • Tuesday’s Senate CLARITY vote could shape sentiment and ETF flows across crypto markets.

Blackrock Drives $160M Bitcoin ETF Rebound

Institutional buyers returned to bitcoin with conviction on Monday, Sept. 14.

After four consecutive sessions of redemptions last week, U.S. bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) attracted $160.04 million. Blackrock’s IBIT carried most of the load, collecting $134.35 million. Fidelity’s FBTC followed with $53.33 million. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT added $9.75 million, while Franklin’s EZBC brought in $4.57 million. Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB remained under pressure, shedding $41.95 million.

Bitcoin ETF trading value reached $2.69 billion, while net assets climbed back above the $100 billion threshold to $100.09 billion. The rebound offers a stronger opening to the week as traders continue to watch bitcoin’s price ahead of key macro events this week.

Blackrock Leads Another Strong Ether Session

Ether ETFs extended Friday’s momentum with $121.02 million in net inflows.

Blackrock’s ETHA led with $80.50 million. Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust added $16.23 million, while Blackrock’s staking-focused ETHB attracted $14.39 million after recently crossing $1 billion in net assets.

Fidelity’s FETH took in $8.86 million, and 21Shares’ TETH added $6.47 million. Invesco’s QETH recorded a $5.43 million outflow. Trading activity reached $1.07 billion, with combined net assets closing at $16.42 billion.

The latest gain follows Friday’s $216.41 million inflow and keeps ether at the center of the recent institutional rotation across crypto markets.

XRP and Solana Join the Rally

XRP ETFs added $11.26 million, with the full amount flowing into Bitwise’s XRP fund. Daily trading value reached $67.34 million and net assets rose to $1.58 billion. The renewed demand provides another flow signal for investors monitoring XRP’s price, which has stalled under the $1.40 level.

Solana ETFs also attracted $11.01 million. Bitwise’s BSOL accounted for $7.10 million, while Grayscale’s GSOL drew $3.91 million. Net assets closed at $1.46 billion. HYPE ETFs were unchanged for the session, with net assets standing at $434.46 million.

IBIT Buying Stands out Ahead of Senate Vote

Blackrock’s recent accumulation also remains in focus. Data from Arkham show IBIT purchased about $1.08 billion of bitcoin over the past 20 days, with inflows recorded on seven of those sessions. Grayscale’s GBTC sold a net $254.7 million over the same period.

Attention now turns to Washington. The Senate is scheduled to hold a procedural cloture vote on moving forward with the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, H.R. 3633, on Tuesday. The vote is scheduled for approximately 2:15 p.m. ET.

The outcome could become another sentiment input for crypto markets as investors assess the evolving U.S. regulatory framework.
