Dubai, UAE, July 27th, 2026, Chainwire
Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has been named to CNBC’s World’s Top Fintech Companies 2026 list in the Digital Assets category, marking its latest recognition among companies shaping the future of global financial services.
Produced by CNBC in partnership with market research firm Statista, the annual list recognizes 500 leading fintech companies across eight industry segments. Approximately 3,500 companies were evaluated using an aggregated scoring model that considered overall business performance and category-specific key performance indicators.
The recognition comes as the global fintech sector enters a new phase of growth and maturity. According to McKinsey & Co., fintech companies generated approximately $650 billion in revenue in 2025, an increase of about 21% from the previous year. McKinsey identified artificial intelligence, digital assets and increasing regulatory maturity among the forces shaping the sector’s next phase.
Bybit’s inclusion reflects its continued evolution from a cryptocurrency exchange into a broader financial platform connecting digital assets, traditional finance, payments, tokenized investments, artificial intelligence-powered tools and Web3 services.
The CNBC recognition follows Bybit’s recent inclusion in the inaugural Fortune Crypto 100, in the CeFi category. The category covers crypto-first companies, including exchanges, lenders and custodians, that handle, hold or trade digital assets.
Together, the recognitions highlight Bybit’s growing role in the global financial ecosystem as digital assets become increasingly integrated with established markets and financial infrastructure.
Bybit serves more than 80 million users worldwide. The company has continued to expand its offerings across digital and traditional markets, including tokenized assets such as equities through xStocks, Bybit IPO Express, AI-powered trading and research tools, and infrastructure designed for institutional market participants.
The company has also expanded its regulated presence in key markets. Bybit holds a Virtual Asset Platform Operator license issued by the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority, while Bybit EU holds a license under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, issued by Austria’s Financial Market Authority.
As regulatory clarity and institutional participation continue to develop, Bybit remains focused on building secure, compliant and accessible financial services. Its long-term vision centers on creating a unified platform that connects users with opportunities across crypto and traditional finance.
