During the Solana Breakpoint event at Suntec Singapore Convention, Coinbase announced its plan to launch its native cbBTC on Solana Blockchain. On September 12 this year, Coinbase launched its version of wrapped Bitcoin (cbBTC) on Ethereum and Base blockchain. The wrapped Bitcoin is backed by 1:1 Bitcoin held by Coinbase.
The representative of Coinbase, during his stage time said “We recently launched cbBTC on base, our users love solana, and so do we, so we are very excited to announce that we will be bringing native cbBTC to Solana as well.
