WazirX as well as its partner firm Liminal, and some other parties are in the middle of an NCLT as a result of a $230 million crypto heist. The petition was lodged on 5th August in Indore city Based on Section 213(b) and Section 221 of the Act to seek investigation of the suspected fraud and a freezing of the assets. WazirX has not indulged in any wrongdoing as per the information available and Liminal is also not guilty as per information. The petition was filed by Gauransh Vyas, a legal intern by profession. WazirX filed a complaint of the hack to New Delhi police on August 6 filing a FIR.
