Amid the growing social engagement around Bitcoin, Tesla, the electric motor company, is making the news. In a recent transfer, Tesla has distributed 11,509 Bitcoin, now worth $773 million, to seven different wallets. These new wallets are likely just other addresses owned by Tesla. The possibility of an over-the-counter sale is unlikely, as in a tweet in 2022, Elon Musk highlighted that he still owns and won’t sell his Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Doge. This goes hand-in-hand with the 2020 tweet, “Bitcoin is my safe word.”
