VanEck’s Mathew Sigel has confirmed the speculation that the company’s Solana spot ETF proposal bets on Trump’s victory. The analysts have said that the approval odds for each ETF are ‘near zero’ if a Democrat victory leaves Joe Biden in the office and ‘better, but not guaranteed’ if Trump wins the election. Trump will likely appoint a new SEC chair to replace the current chair, Gary Gensler. The deadline for VanEck’s application is set for March 2025 which puts it after the outcome of the US Presidential elections in November.
