Ripple’s XRP token has found substantial footing at the $1 price level. Despite bearish forces being in control, XRP has refused to fall below the $1 mark, except for a brief moment on August 11. This is in stark contrast to the previous bear cycle when XRP was trading consistently below the $0.50 level. The strong support at the $1 price level is likely due to a large number of people purchasing the asset at around this price level after Ripple’s lawsuit with the SEC came to a close last year. We may be at the bottom of the bear market right now. Bitcoin (BTC) is at its cost of production zone, which has historically been the bear market bottom. It is possible that BTC will slowly make an upward push from here on. BTC is the market leader and other assets tend to follow its trajectory. XRP is also likely to do the same. The asset will likely not drop below the $1 mark and this may be its bottom. Buying XRP at current prices could prove to be quite lucrative in the coming years.

XRP saw the launch of several spot ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) late last year. While the launch of ETFs is usually bullish, XRP’s ETF launches came after the bear market had set in. Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) climbed to new all-time highs last year thanks to increased ETF inflows. We could see a similar pattern for XRP as well.
