Why Is XRP Losing Demand? Ripple Ready To Fall Below $1

Ripple’s native token XRP is close to falling below the $1 level as it traded at a day’s low of $1.04 on Thursday. The leading altcoin has been on a relentless decline for over a year, shedding 65% of its value since 2025. Traders who took an entry position during the bull run in late 2024 and early 2025 are all at a loss. The entire altcoin market, including Cardano’s ADA, among others, is facing similar corrections. Only Solana and Binance Coin have been able to sustain themselves in the charts.

Will XRP Go Back Up After Drop
Source: U.Today

XRP has seen a noticeable price drop as trading volume in cryptocurrency exchanges has experienced a major dip. The on-chain data indicates that large wallet holders, who are commonly known as whales, have limited their accumulation of XRP. This has coincided with retail investors also giving the leading altcoin a miss. The dual decline has erased fresh capital in Ripple’s altcoin, and only existing holders are now trading in the asset.

Once buying activity dries up, the price trajectory sees a major decline with no support. This makes taking an entry position into XRP a risky affair as the chances of a downturn remain high. In addition, the absence of partnerships and collaboration from Ripple with other financial giants has reduced. There have been a few announcements about partnerships that have made traders have a bearish outlook. All of these are affecting the cryptocurrency to a larger extent.

If XRP falls to the $0.90 level, investors’ confidence in the cryptocurrency will reach a new low. Even buying the dip at this level would be skeptical, as the altcoin has no base to support a bullish thesis. Traders are now spoilt for choice in the AI era, as this sector has been generating bigger profits. Big money is flowing there, as that’s the industry where investors can expect to make quick profits.
